Lamp Gone Wild

Last night, the Lamp went wild because it was Toby's 52nd Bday at midnight. It was super packed and super fun. Sunday nights are quickly becoming my favorite night at the Lamp.

Quote of the evening
"Don't mind me, I'm trying to get as shitfaced as fast as I can."
saith Toby a little before her official bday at midnight.

I actually put this in my phone so I would remember it this morning. God knows I wouldn't have remembered it in the cold light of day.

Why The Hell Did You Sing That?
The matching outfit girls sang "Summer Nights".

These chicks were wearing the same freaking outfit. I don't know about you, but I try to look different when I walk into somewhere. And I would be horrified if someone walked in wearing the same thing I was. But no, these chicks dressed the same on purpose. We know this for a fact because Roger asked them. Yikes.

And then they go and sing this song. We joke around that if you sing a song from Grease, then you should pay everyone a dollar. I would be so rich if I could actually hold people to that. Well maybe not rich, but at least I could tip the strippers properly. Sigh.

Why We Stayed Until Last Call
We didn't quite make it to last call...but we stayed pretty late because Eric let us get one last song in. He's good to his regulars.

Matching outfits? Oye. It's a good thing I wasn't there. I wouldn't have been able to control myself and would have mocked them endlessly. Sounds like a good night!

I loved the part where you put notes into your phone so that you'd remember. And then when I got home I actually wrote a few notes of my own. Oh, this is so sad.

Considering everything I have going on right now, I had considered not going last night, but I'm so glad I went. I suppose there's a lesson in there somewhere.
